Solo since 2002, had the pleasure to share the stage with Paddy at a charity gig in The Coldcut Social Club couple of months back.

Finbar Furey is one of our idols to date, if anyone is looking to learn Irish music whether it be songs or tunes, buy Finbar’s CD’s, they are truly magic, Finbar  has a magnificent talent for performing and is in our eyes the complete performer, had the pleasure of being back stage( kitchen) in the Coldcut  tuning up  and having a chat with him, absolute gentleman.

Dublin City Ramblers started in 1963, outstanding band that have travelled the continent promoting Irish music at its best, check out their website for a great history of one of Irelands top touring bands, great to see Stephen Leeson our buddy doing so well with the boys.

Patsy Watchorn, tremendous voice, performing with the Dubliners now, Patsy seems to be in the Irish music scene forever, and with a voice like Patsy’s I think that anyone involved in Irish music is better for it.

 

The FureysThe Fureys
The Furey brothers have been performing since the sixties, they all hail from Ballyer, all outstanding and distinguised musicians, very talented family , some of Irish musics best and favourite songs originate back to The Fureys ,  Paul Furey sadly died on June 16th 2002, he will be sorely missed, also The Fureys bass player Derek McCormack sadly died on 30th January 2004, Paul and Derek  RIP .
